A 6.7-magnitude earthquake struck in Mexico’s western Guerrero state Saturday night, shaking buildings and causing some panic just over 100 miles away in the nation’s capital. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries although there were some power failures in parts of the city and residents ran out of buildings and gathered in the streets outside.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said that a tsunami is not expected along the California, Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, or Alaska coast.
